Rebecca Knipp
CPA, Owner, Outsourced CFO
Growing up in a small business family, Rebecca learned about running and owning a business from a young age. It was from these conversations and observations that she knew she wanted to be a business owner one day. Rebecca became interested in accounting when attending North Callaway High School, where she competed on the national-winning FFA Farm Business Management team. The team participated in contests, where participants completed tests that included business, economic, and accounting concepts. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting with Summa Cum Laude honors. After more than a decade working in the tax department of a local firm, Rebecca decided to leave public accounting to pursue her lifelong dream of owning her own business. In 2019, she founded Optimized CFO & Controller Services LLC. Rebecca is blessed and thankful for all who have helped turn OCFO from a solopreneur venture in her basement to what it is today.
Outside of running her own business, Rebecca and her husband, Jason, enjoy living in Columbia, along with their daughter, Grace. In addition to family, Rebecca believes in giving back to the community. She is a member of the finance committee of Columbia Public Schools, is the treasurer elect of Women’s Network division of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, a member of Columbia Metro Rotary, and a member of the Missouri United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with family, cheering on the Mizzou Tigers, doing yoga, and reading.
Brooke Schnurbusch
CPA, Outsourced Controller
Brooke joined the OCFO team in 2024, bringing nearly a decade of accounting experience in the mortgage industry. She holds both a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA with an emphasis in Accounting from Columbia College. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Her passion for supporting small business owners is rooted in personal experience. Her dad is an entrepreneur who built a construction business after working alongside his own father for many years. That background gave Brooke a deep appreciation for the hard work and risks business owners take, and it drives her commitment to helping clients feel confident and informed in their financial decisions.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and daughter, Sunnie, practicing hot yoga at Sumits, and taking long neighborhood walks with their goldendoodle, Louie. Brooke also serves as the Board Treasurer for The Dream Factory of Central Missouri.
Jennifer Anderson
Outsourced Accountant
Jennifer Anderson joined the Optimized CFO team in 2024 and brings a detail-focused approach to financial reporting and everyday accounting support. In her role as Staff Accountant, her work centers on providing steady, reliable accounting that helps clients stay on top of their financial picture.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Columbia College and began her career in nonprofit higher education, where she focused on procurement accounting. That experience gave her a strong foundation in financial operations and a steady, thoughtful way of working that she continues to apply with clients today.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys being outdoors—relaxing at Lake of the Ozarks, hiking local trails, or riding along with her husband, Chris, on his motorcycle. When indoors, she spends her time exploring hobbies or simply enjoying a quiet evening with family and a good book.
Jordyn Christensen
Office Manager
Jordyn Christensen joined the Optimized CFO team in 2021 as an Office Administrator. In her role, she oversees client billing, coordinates client tax information, and manages daily office operations. Jordyn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from William Woods University and brings prior experience from Edward Jones, along with a background in the accounting field.
Outside of work, Jordyn enjoys spending time with her husband, Mitchell, and their two children, Maxwell and Lola. She especially loves watching and supporting her children in the various activities they are involved in.
